gramarlelem checks what you write by sending it to this server, which in turn queries a language model. This page explains what data is processed and why.
What is sent
- The text of the fields you check (in the extension, only the fields you activate by typing in them; never passwords, e-mails, codes or other credential fields, which are excluded) and the texts you save in the web editor.
- With each check, your preferred language and the words of your personal dictionary, so the model respects them.
- To rewrite, summarize, translate or analyze the tone, the full text of the field or of the selected range.
Where it goes
- The server sends the sentences to the language-model provider configured by the server operator to obtain the corrections. The provider does not receive your account or identity, only the text.
- Answers are kept in an in-memory cache per sentence for a limited time to avoid repeating queries; sentences are not written to disk.
What is stored
- Your account (e-mail and a PBKDF2-hashed password), the API tokens you create or that pairing issues (name, creation date and last use), your personal dictionary and the texts of the web editor, until you delete them.
- Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (number of checks, tokens consumed, languages, categories), without any text.
- In your browser, the extension keeps its settings and the session token in the extension storage (synced by the browser if you are signed in to it) and the list of issues you ignore.
What is not done
- No data is sold or shared with third parties, there are no ads or trackers, and checked texts are not used to train models.
- The extension does not read pages you are not editing: it only acts on the field you type in.
Your data
You can revoke tokens and change your password in your account, delete texts and words whenever you want, and ask the server operator to delete the account entirely.
